Government shows its support for Southend regeneration
More than £6 million was invested in Southend-on-Sea in the last financial year to promote regeneration, new jobs and expansion across the town, according to the Thames Gateway Annual Report for 2008/09.

Renaissance Southend Ltd has appointed Murray Foster as its new Vice Chairman. With over 20 years’ involvement within the town, he recognises its immense potential – and aims to unlock it.
A member of the Board for 12 months, Murray has been hugely supportive of Southend through his involvement in a wide range of unpaid voluntary roles.
